Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva (Patron Buddha for those born in the year of the Horse)
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva is the Bodhisattva who embodies the wisdom of the Tantric school of Buddhism. He is the one who helps propagate the holy Dharma for Amitabha Buddha in the Western Paradise. He uses the power of his wisdom to illuminate all living beings, helping people escape from mental suffering, attain clear and bright wisdom to move towards good things.
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva appears in Buddhist scriptures as a gentle being with bright eyes, carrying a newly bloomed blue lotus in his hand. He stands next to Amitabha Buddha or meditates in the lotus position on a lotus pedestal.
