Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (Patron Buddha for people born in the year of the Dragon and the year of the Snake)
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is one of the Five Zen Bodhisattvas of Buddhism. He often appears next to two Bodhisattvas, Shakyamuni and Manjushri.
He is a symbol of intellectual strength, perseverance, and endurance to overcome all challenges. Those who are preparing for exams or starting a business and pray to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva will receive his protection.
The image of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is described as follows: He rides on an elephant, symbolizing the strength to overcome all challenges; in one hand he holds a lotus flower, symbolizing purity; in the other hand he holds a wish-fulfilling jewel, symbolizing everything going as planned and satisfaction.
